Great Times Day Camp is hosting a Polar Bear Plunge in honor of our late friend Danielle Bledy, a former camper at GTDC who passed in 2006 due to a brain aneurysm. The money raised will go to Danielle's organization, D's Dawgs, which does a lot of work with animal shelters, various scholarships, and fundraising for Brain Aneurysm research.

What is a polar bear plunge?
A polar bear plunge is when crazy people, like us, run into the water (the lake in this case) in the middle of winter. Sounds ridiculous? Maybe, but remember, this is for an awesome cause, and how could you not have fun when you're amongst the staff and campers of Great Times? Too much for you? Not a problem! We can always assign you a job assisting with check-ins, registration, food set up, etc.

Our agenda for the day:
10-10:30 will be registration
10:30-10:40 will be opening ceremonies, and if anyone would like to speak, they are more than welcome to
10:45 - we'll be taking the plunge!
After the plunge, you are welcome to join us for a lovely breakfast spread of coffee, tea, water, bagels, and donuts!

We will be charging $20 per person
****PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE********
Aside from your bathing suit, please remember to bring a towel and a set of warm dry clothes. Bathrooms will be available for people to change after your brave and honorable plunges!

*if you are a staff member, Auri and I thought it would be nice if we all wore our staff shirts

This is an open event! Everyone is welcome, whether or not you are a camper/staffer/alumni of GTDC

Any questions? Feel free to contact me (Mallory) or Auri and we will get back to you A.S.A.P!
